The Overall Copenhagen Look: Comfort, Curiosity, and a Little Chaos

CPHFW 2025

Every fashion capital has its signature. Paris gives us polish, Milan gives us drama, New York gives us energy. But Copenhagen? Copenhagen gives us permission to play.

What we’re going to see this upcoming Fall 2025 is Copenhagen doubling down on its sweet spot: oversized tailoring, lace as everyday wear, and accessories that border on art. Think blazers with shoulders so broad they could carry your week, lace minis layered over denim as if it’s the most natural pairing in the world, and sneakers so decorated they look like jewelry boxes. The vibe isn’t just about making statements it’s about rewriting the rules of what’s considered wearable.

Oversized Everything

From baggy denim that puddled at the ankle to blazers that looked borrowed from someone else’s closet, Copenhagen girls know that comfort and cool can coexist. Oversized isn’t sloppy- it’s intentional. It’s armor disguised as ease.

Playful Layering

Forget minimalism. The Copenhagen look is lace skirts layered over denim, striped shirts peeking out beneath sweatshirts, vests stacked over puffed sleeves. The more unexpected, the better. Dressing here feels like child’s play, with adult sophistication.

Maximalist Accessories

Sneakers with pearls and cartoon charms. Jellybean-bright heels. Crochet bucket hats. Jewelry stacked until it becomes its own outfit. Accessories aren’t an afterthought in Copenhagen- they are the thought.

Color With Humor

Pastel neckties, bubblegum pink jackets, candy-colored shoes. The Copenhagen look doesn’t take itself too seriously. Brights are playful, a wink to fashion’s fun side.

Texture Clash

Pearls embroidered into bomber jackets. Lace next to leather. Velvet layered with crochet. Textures were mixed like cocktails- unexpected, but perfectly balanced.

Scandi Practicality

And yet, through all the maximalism and play, Copenhagen fashion is grounded. Sneakers over stilettos, layers that actually work for the weather, trousers roomy enough to move in. Fashion here doesn’t sacrifice function- it elevates it.

The Take Away:

This season might just be one of my favourites. Being Canadian, layering is in my DNA- I live for stacking textures, colors, and silhouettes until they feel maximalist but intentional. And right now, I’m absolutely obsessed with the new shoe charm moment. Forget bag charms; this fall it’s all about dressing up your sneakers. I’m already eyeing fluffy laces with little charms and planning to try them out on my light blue Speziales- I’ll report back on how that goes.

What excites me most is watching everyone play with layers in their own way- oversized jackets, clashing textures, and yes, the inevitable return of animal print. Comfort, chaos, and creativity: all the things that make fashion fun again.

And as I watched lace collide with denim, sneakers sparkle with charms, and tailoring grow larger than life, I couldn’t help but wonder…

Maybe Copenhagen isn’t just setting trends for Fall 2025-maybe it’s rewriting the rulebook on how to dress. Comfort layered with curiosity, maximalism made wearable, and accessories that tell a story: this is fashion with a wink, and a city that proves style can be both playful and profound.

Toodles,

XX Jennie
