I couldn’t help but wonder… when did fall stop being about pumpkin spice and start being about electric purple?
This season, Vogue is whispering (okay, screaming) about a palette that feels like the cool girl’s closet exploded- in the best way possible.
Blue is everywhere- not your boyfriend’s navy, but icy, glossy, “I booked a spontaneous trip to Copenhagen” blue. The kind that makes a gray day feel romantic.
Purple went electric. Think Studio 54 in a velvet blazer, or Miu Miu boots that look like they’ve been kissed by a disco ball. It’s less lavender latte, more purple martini at midnight.
Mocha browns are having a moment. Imagine wrapping yourself in a chocolate-colored knit that feels like a love letter to your favorite café. The girlies who love neutrals? This is your shade.
Cherry red is still flirting with us, but this time it’s lacquered, sharp, almost like lipstick left on the rim of a martini glass.
And of course, there’s burnt orange and aubergine- those cozy, moody shades that say, “I live for fall layers, but make it fashion.”
So maybe the real question isn’t what color we’re wearing this fall… it’s what mood we’re trying to channel. Because whether it’s icy blues that soothe, purples that provoke, or browns that ground- this fall’s textiles are more than fabric. They’re feelings stitched into the seams.
